About Bristol Lapidary Society
Welcome to the Bristol and District Lapidary Society.
We are a vibrant community of enthusiasts passionate about the art and craft of lapidary and gemstone work.
Bristol & District Lapidary Society was founded in 1970 with
the aim to encourage an interest in traditional craft of Lapidary, as well as providing a workshop and meeting place for creative minded people.
We meet every Tuesday, day session 2-5pm, evening 7-10pm to work on our own projects and have a friendly chat over tea break with biscuits.
Our members come from different walks of life and include world class faceters, amazing jewellers, gemmologists, mineral collectors and also just enthusiasts wanting to learn the art of lapidary. Collectively we hold vast knowledge, skills and experience that is enthusiastically shared with each other.
We are happy to welcome anyone with an interest in lapidary and associated crafts.
