Club Membership

Bristol & District Lapidary Society Membership is open to all.

Annual membership fee - £30.00 (April 2026 to March 2027)

Single sessions fee - £8.00

Members pay an annual subscription fee plus a session fee per visit to the workshop.

Members are welcome to attend as many Tuesday sessions as they wish - there is no limit !

Information for prospective members

We warmly welcome new members.

If you would like to join our club, please contact us to arrange an induction session. During this session, you will become a member of the club and receive essential safety instruction covering safe workshop practices, the correct operation of our machinery, and guidance on working with lapidary materials. This induction session is provided free of charge for all new members.

Induction sessions are usually held on Tuesdays between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM and must be booked in advance.

If you would like to learn more about the club before deciding to join, we recommend arranging an observation session. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to observe our activities, meet and talk with members, and ask any questions you may have. For health and safety reasons, visitors are not permitted to use the workshop machinery during an observation session. If you decide to join after your visit, simply contact us again to arrange your free induction session.
